This role is responsible for understanding our prudential regulatory requirements and will have a primary focus on leading our Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and enhancing our prudential analysis capabilities. You will collaborate with teams across the bank to ensure Monzo is protected from financial stress and manages its capital resources effectively. You will need deep expertise and a breadth of knowledge in prudential regulation.

As a Merchant Risk Analyst, you will assess financial risk related to credit, fraud and identity associated with the merchants and coordinate with cross-functional partners to assess non-financial risk – brand, reputational, legal and compliance risk.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and monitoring budget activity to support compliance with the operating plan and prevent Anti-Deficiency Act violations. Evaluate the impact of internal and external policy changes on budget execution, proactively identify solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to provide training, guidance, and support on Budget Execution (BE) processes.
As an experienced underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing the financial risk of new and existing customers, while making decisions based on policy guidelines.
